Does a DCP work in any cinema?

Not all DCPs are made equal… and not everyone who makes DCPs knows what they're doing.

By definition, yes: a DCP should work in any cinema. But there are many details and precautions involved in getting a DCP to run properly in a theater.

The difference is in the quality control

My recommendation is that your DCP go through solid quality control, and that you have it done on a serious platform that knows what it's doing.

At YourDCP.com we've been working in film festivals since 2016 and have made hundreds of DCPs for international distribution. We've already made the mistakes… so you don't have to.
